      This is on the path from Kibune to Kurama, in the hills north of Kyoto. The woods are quite dark, so a flash was used.
      Perhaps only someone relatively new to stereo photography, and in love with most forms depicted in stereoscopic images, would shoot something mundane like this. But feast your eyes on the twists and turns, and contemplate the Source that produces a shape like this over the years. And then sets it to rot away . . .
